Our firm is committed to making legal services available to a wide range of people and small businesses. First, we aim to keep costs low for our clients.
We do this directly by offering some of the most modest legal fees in Portland, and by negotiating payment plans or other non-traditional billing methods when appropriate.
Additionally, by not maintaining a storefront office, we save thousands of dollars in rent every year. We meet clients at their homes, their businesses, their favorite coffee shop, or at another attorney’s office conveniently located on Powell Boulevard in southeast Portland.
Second, we are friendly and easy to talk to. We don’t have a stuffy attitude about being lawyers.
We try very hard to be modest, likable attorneys. We also try to be good communicators, since legal advice is only useful if it is understood. We make sure that our clients “get” what is going on with their case every step of the way. We do this by speaking in simple English, and writing letters and legal documents so that the average reader can understand them.
We consider ourselves to be “just ordinary” folks. Like many other Americans, we are a husband and wife team who own a small business (a law business). We have two children with whom we spend lots of time – they even help out in the office. We work hard for our clients and as volunteers for community organizations. In these uncertain economic times, we are grateful for the modest lifestyle we enjoy, and we pray for the good health and financial security of our community.
